A Brighter, More Youthful Smile

This patient decided it was time to improve her smile after her grandchild innocently asked why her teeth looked so yellow. She came to our office feeling self conscious and wanting to understand her options.
She had four existing porcelain crowns that appeared dark and no longer blended naturally with the surrounding teeth. Our goal was to create a brighter smile that felt appropriate for her while restoring some of the youthful fullness that had been lost over time.

We replaced the four crowns and added six porcelain veneers, treating ten teeth in total. For patients who show ten teeth when smiling, treating the full visible area often creates the most natural result. It allows us to control the color, proportions, and transition from the front teeth to the premolars without an obvious stopping point.

Adding subtle volume to the teeth farther back also helped broaden the smile and reduce the dark spaces at the corners. Carefully designed contours provided greater support behind the upper lip, contributing to a fuller and more youthful appearance.

The final result is brighter and more vibrant without looking artificial. Her smile still feels age appropriate and natural, with improved warmth, balance, and support.
